Nose:  Spice cake with sour cherries, molasses, chocolate notes, a hint of pipe tobacco. Rich and complex cherry, balsamic vinegar, chocolate, nuts, smoke  coconut, cinnamon, pepper, vanilla, almond, honey.

Palate: Spice cake, chocolate, fruity sweetness, preserved cherries, spicy, pipe tobacco again. Intensely fruity green apple, cherry, plum, tobacco.

The Plantation Single Cask Rums are limited editions of double-aged Haute Couture Rums. These fine spirits first mature in former bourbon casks in a tropical climate before receiving their finish in ex-Ferrand casks made of French oak. This takes place in the southwest of France. Alexandre Gabriel, who was awarded the title of world’s best Master Blender in 2012, carefully selects the casks for the secondary maturation every time. They usually held wine, another type of spirit, or even beer before. The type of cask used is chosen individually for each rum in order to highlight its unique character. Only a few versions of Plantation rums are produced each year, making them true collector’s items.
