Palate:  This 100% Islay Bourbon cask matured has a fresh feel with malted barley sugars, tropical and lemon notes and soft smoke.

The visionary pursuit of the 100% Islay philosophy finds its expression in this unique Single Cask collection. Driven by the centuries-old tradition of "farm distilling," the endless possibilities of artisanal processes on site, and outstanding cask management, Kilchoman's masterful diversity is revealed. Different cask types, vintages, and peat levels are presented at cask strength. Each of the casks is numbered I-X, each bottle individually hand-numbered and provided with a short Distiller's Tasting Note. Particular highlights certainly include the 100% Islay Calvados Single Cask with aromas of apple and citrus fruits, as well as the 100% Islay Bourbon Single Cask, which stands for the classic Islay style of citrus notes and Kilchoman's characteristic floral note. Both whiskies are lightly peated at 20ppm. Kilchoman is proud to be Scotland's only distillery to present a single malt made from its own grown and malted barley. The Uniquely Islay series gives Kilchoman the opportunity to experiment with and showcase exceptional cask types. "So there are some really interesting cask types here which is something that we now specialize in a bit.
