The Plantation Single Cask Rums are limited editions of double-matured Haute Couture Rums. The fine drops first mature in former Bourbon barrels in a tropical climate before receiving their finish in ex-Ferrand barrels made of French oak. This takes place in southwest France. Alexandre Gabriel, who was awarded the title of world’s best Master Blender in 2012, always carefully selects the casks for the second maturation. Most previously contained wine, another type of spirit, or even beer. The type of cask used is chosen individually for each rum to highlight its unique character. Only a few versions of Plantation rums are produced each year, making them true collector’s items.
