Palate: Elegant and smooth with velvety vanilla butter cake, tropical fruits, and warm wood notes. Coconut and vanilla cream blend harmoniously with a finely integrated smoky note.

Finish: Long, soft, and pleasant with lingering warmth and subtle smokiness.

With the Peatist Ex-Bourbon Cask, Kavalan expands its peated Peatist series with an expression that clearly focuses on cask character and distillery aromatics. Matured in selected American ex-bourbon casks and bottled at cask strength, this whisky impressively shows how finely dosed peat and subtropical maturation can harmonize with each other. Distilled from peated barley and specially adapted to Taiwan's climate, the Peatist Ex-Bourbon combines gentle smokiness with refined wood notes, creamy vanilla, and the tropical fruit notes typical of Kavalan. The name Peatist symbolizes Kavalan's ambition to use peat not as an end in itself, but as a defining stylistic element curious, independent, and beyond classic expectations. As with the Solist series, the Peatist expressions are always single casks at cask strength.
