Springbank: The flagship is simply called Springbank – and is often referred to as "the Maritime" because of its legendary salty note. Lightly peated and distilled 2.5 times, the single malt was first bottled in 1828 and is now available in the age statements 10, 12, 15, 18 and 21 years. Each bottling is an individual taste experience: in the 10-year-aged edition, for example, the aroma plays with the taste of sweet fruits and honey and varies this inimitably with a fine peaty note. Well balanced in flavor throughout, with a deep yet unobtrusive malt nuance and a consistently present smoky note, this whisky is long and elegant on the finish. Available in 46 % Vol. and Cask Strength.
