Royal Cane El Salvador 2007 0,7l 51%vol. Rum single cask Distillery: Ingenio La Cabaña - 15 years - Cask: American white oak Column still Molasses

Nose: intense aromas of panela, coconut, dark caramel, toasted almonds and walnut. 

Palate: delightful notes of cola, caramel, toasted coconut, almonds and cane sugar with a velvety texture.

Finish: medium-long, nutty roasted coffee, pepper, menthol, sandalwood. The

15-year-old Royal Cane El Salvador 2007 Rum is distilled from molasses at the La Cabaña Distillery using the column still process. Starting in 2007, it spent 11 years in an American white oak cask in El Salvador's tropical climate and then matured for a further 4 years under continental conditions.  

A deep golden amber color with pronounced aromas of panela sugar, coconut, dark caramel, toasted almonds, and walnuts. The velvety texture accentuates the sweet notes of cola, caramel, raw sugar, toasted coconut, and almonds. The nutty profile lingers on the finish with hints of dark roast coffee, peppercorn, menthol, and sandal wood.

History of the Cask
A wonderful expression from the only distillery in El Salvador situated in the Cihuatán valley: Ingenio La Cabaña. The Rum was distilled in 2007 after which it was filled into an American white oak cask at the distillery, and matured in the tropical climate of El Paisnal, El Salvador for 11 years. In 2018 the cask traversed the Atlantic Ocean for a further 4 years of maturation in the legendary Lagerhaus of Liverpool, United Kingdom.
