Nose: Rich, woody, and spicy with cloves, cinnamon, pepper, tar, and smoky molasses. Roasted chestnuts, berries, and thyme honey join in.

Palate: Rounded fruity flavor with notes of oranges, peaches, plums, maple syrup, and leather.

Finish: Long, powerful, fruit, leather.  

Plantation Rum Guyana 15 Years 2007/2022 Teeling Single Malt Single Cask Finish is part of the annually released Single Cask series of Plantation Rum bottlings from Ferrand. Ferrand has made a name for itself in the rum segment with its double-ageing process, as this method gives the rum enormous complexity and intensity. Plantation Rum Guyana 15 Years 2007/2022 Teeling Single Malt Single Cask Finish is first aged for 13 years in ex-Bourbon barrels and then shipped to France. There, the rum is refined for a further 12 months in former Ferrand casks. Afterwards, Plantation Rum received a third maturation for 7 months in Teeling Single Malt Irish Whiskey casks. Plantation Rum Guyana 15 Years 2007/2022 Teeling Single Malt Single Cask Finish is bottled at 53.7% vol.

Palate : Round and fruitier on orange, peach and plum with maple syrup and leather.

This takes place in southwestern France. Alexandre Gabriel, named the world's best Master Blender in 2012, always carefully selects the casks for the secondary maturation. They usually previously held wine, another type of spirit, or even beer. The type of cask used is chosen individually for each rum to highlight its unique character. Only a few versions of Plantation's rums are produced each year, making them true collector's items.
