Die Brennerei Isle of Arran wurde 1 994 am Fuße des Dorfes Lochranza gebaut. Am 29. Juni 1 995 floss der erste Alkohol aus den Brennblasen und brachte dadurch nach mehr als 150 Jahren die legale Destillation nach Arran zurück. Diese Brennerei war die erste in einer neuen Generation von Brennereien in den 90er Jahren. Seit jenem Tag im Juni 1 995, als das erste Fass abgefüllt wurde, produziert Arran erstklassigen ungetorften Single Malt Whisky, der durch zahlreich gewonnene Goldmedaillen internationale Anerkennung gefunden hat.  Das jüngste Kapitel ihrer Whisky-Geschichte auf der Insel wurde im Juni 2019 eingeläutet, als ihre zweite Destillerie in Lagg im Süden Arrans ihre Türen für die Öffentlichkeit öffnete und begann, stark getorften Whisky im für Arran typischen Stil herzustellen.
