Tasting notes
This Barbados rum is a pale golden amber color with deep aromas of dates, apricot, honey, and lemon thyme. With a warming, slightly prickly texture the fruity pot still notes of pineapple and banana are brought forward, while the mid-palate is all baking spice, cinnamon, clove & ginger. The wood influence shows on the finish with notes of leather, varnish, and herbal oak.

History of the Cask
A truly unique expression of Foursquare Rum, being one of the very few pure Pot Still rums of this old age from Foursquare. The Rum was distilled in 2002 after which it was filled into an American white oak cask, previously for American Whiskey at the distillery. The cask was immediately shipped across the Atlantic Ocean towards the United Kingdom for continental maturation in the historic docks of Liverpool. Continental aging results in less liquid lost to evaporation, and less interaction with the oak.
