Tasting notes
A light golden color in the glass with sweet, yet funky notes of cream soda, vanilla, mango lassi, and spring pine. The creamy texture brings out flavors of buttery toffee, salted caramel and milk chocolate. The funky mango joins in mid-palate, while the finish gets gradually spicier with hints of ginger, cinnamon, white pepper, and slightly astringent oak.
History of the Cask
A truly unique pot still Rum from from a group of truly beautiful islands in the South Pacific Ocean: Fiji, also known as ‘the land of joy’. We now know why. After distillation in 2004, the Rum traveled east to the Philippines for 12 years of maturation in the tropical climate of the Indian Ocean. In 2016 the cask continued its journey across the world towards the United Kingdom for another 6 years of maturation in the historic docks of Liverpool. A well traveled rum combining tropical and continental aging with many months at sea.
The Royal Cane Cask Company is dedicated to search the world for ultra rare and old casks that remain from past times. Each Rum we release is limited to one cask. A cask with its own history, its own identity and its own style.
