{"title":"Mossburn Brand Whisky","description":"\u003cp\u003eMossburn is an independent bottler based in Jedburgh. The young but highly ambitious company released its first bottlings in 2017. It started with classic independent bottler malts from various distilleries, as well as its own blended malts. The main goal, however, is to enrich Scottish diversity with whisky from its own distilleries.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003eThe beginning is marked by the Torabhaig Distillery on the Isle of Skye. Since 2017, the distillate has been flowing from the stills here. A distinctively smoky single malt is produced. The second distillery is Reivers, a grain distillery in the heart of the Scottish Borders. Production has been running here since 2020. The products of the two distilleries lie at opposite ends of the Scottish whisky spectrum.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003eFor a third, very large distillery at Mossburn's headquarters in Jedburgh, with up to 70 jobs, a building application was submitted in 2016. The building permit expired in early 2020 because preparations were halted due to Brexit uncertainties.
